1. About these terms
Uniform Color: US Army History is provided by LumeTech L.L.C. (“LumeTech,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading or using the game, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the game.
If a child is not legally able to agree to these terms, a parent or guardian should review and agree to them on the child's behalf before allowing use. Parents and guardians should help children with purchases, sharing, and support correspondence.
2. The game and its educational content
The game lets players color uniforms, explore historical eras, answer quizzes, and create cards and museum posters. Core gameplay works offline. Optional features, including sharing and read aloud, may use services provided by your device or other providers.
Historical text, illustrations, colors, and quizzes are intended for general learning and creative play. They may simplify historical details or contain errors and should not be treated as an authoritative historical reference. The game is an independent LumeTech product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. Army, the U.S. Department of Defense, or any government agency.
3. License and acceptable use
Subject to these terms and applicable app-store rules, LumeTech grants you a limited, non-exclusive license to use the game for personal, non-commercial purposes on devices you own or control. The license is non-transferable except where applicable law or the store's usage rules permit otherwise. The software, branding, and original content belong to LumeTech or its licensors. Third-party materials remain the property of their owners.
- Use the game lawfully and respect the rights of others.
- Do not sell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the game or its underlying assets without permission.
- Do not interfere with the game's operation or attempt unauthorized access to its supporting systems.
- Do not reverse engineer or extract the software except where applicable law or an applicable open-source license permits it.
4. Your artwork and sharing
You retain any rights you have in your original creative contributions. You may save and share cards and posters created through the game's export and sharing features for personal, non-commercial use. This permission includes game-provided artwork as it appears in those exported images; it does not transfer ownership of the game or its underlying assets.
You choose whether to include an artist name and where to send an image. Use a nickname or leave the name blank if you prefer. Check the image before sharing and avoid including someone else's personal information without permission. Destinations you choose apply their own terms and privacy policies. Sharing an image does not automatically upload it to LumeTech or give us a license to publish it.
5. Purchases and app stores
The paid store version is offered as a one-time purchase covering all gameplay features included in that version. It does not require a subscription or additional in-app purchases. The price and any applicable taxes are shown by the store before purchase. Google Play or the Apple App Store processes payment under its own terms.
Refunds are subject to the applicable store's policies and any rights provided by law. For details, see the Google Play refund policy or Apple refund guidance.
Your use is also subject to applicable store terms and usage rules. Where Apple's Standard End User License Agreement applies, it governs the app license, and these terms supplement it. Mandatory law and binding store requirements take precedence over conflicting provisions of these terms. These terms do not limit mandatory consumer rights.
6. Local data and privacy
Progress, preferences, and an optional artist name are saved locally. Clearing app storage, deleting the game, or changing devices may remove that data. System backups may retain or restore copies depending on your device settings; LumeTech does not operate a cloud-save service or access those backups. Keep separate copies of any artwork you want to retain.
Reset progress clears painting progress and quiz stars while keeping preferences and the optional artist name. The Privacy Policy, available in Settings, explains sharing, read aloud, backups, support messages, and the controls available to remove data.
7. Availability and updates
Features and compatibility may change as we update the game or as device and store requirements change. We do not guarantee that the game, every feature, or a particular version will remain available indefinitely. Any changes remain subject to applicable law and your rights relating to a purchase.
8. Warranties and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the game is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, historical accuracy, or compatibility with every device. To the extent permitted by law, LumeTech is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the game, lost local progress, or services you choose to use outside the game.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits warranties, remedies, consumer rights, or liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Where local law gives you stronger protections, those protections apply.
9. Ending use and changes to these terms
You can stop using and delete the game at any time. The license may be terminated for a material breach of these terms, subject to applicable law. Deleting the game does not delete images shared elsewhere or necessarily remove system backups; see the Privacy Policy for details.
We may revise these terms as the game or legal requirements change. Updated terms will be published on this page with a revised date. Where required by law, we will provide notice or obtain agreement before material changes take effect.
