1. Scope
This policy explains how LumeTech L.L.C. handles information in the Android and iOS versions of Uniform Color: US Army History. It also explains what happens when you choose optional features or contact us.
2. Information used on your device
The app saves the following information locally to provide the game and remember your choices:
- Painted uniform parts, brush choices, completed eras, and quiz stars.
- Language, music, sound, vibration, and read-aloud preferences. Your device's preferred language is read to choose an initial game language.
- An optional artist name you enter for cards and museum posters. A real name is not required; you may leave this field blank or use a nickname.
- Temporary PNG images created when you export or share a card or poster.
The app does not automatically send this saved information to us. We do not use advertising identifiers, advertising SDKs, analytics trackers, or developer-operated cloud saves. The app does not request access to your camera, microphone, location, or contacts.
3. Sharing cards and posters
When you choose Share, the app creates an image in its temporary storage and opens your device's sharing menu. The image can include your artwork, quiz stars, and the optional artist name. Only the destination you choose receives the image through this action; the app does not automatically upload it to us or publish it.
Any app or service you select handles the image under its own privacy policy. Copies you save or share outside the game remain there until you delete them separately. Parents and guardians should help children choose what to include and where to share it.
4. Read-aloud, backups, and purchases
Read aloud:When you request narration, game text is passed to the device or browser's text-to-speech service. Depending on your device, selected voice, and provider settings, that service may process text online under the provider's privacy policy. The game does not record your voice or use the microphone. Read aloud can be disabled in Settings.
System backups: Depending on your device and account settings, the operating system may include saved app data in its backup or transfer services. Those services are controlled by your device or backup provider. We do not operate or access these backups.
Purchases: If you purchase the app, Google Play or the Apple App Store processes payment and related account information under its own policies. The game does not collect payment-card details.
5. Children
Children can play without creating an account or providing a real name, email address, or other contact information. The game does not transmit children's saved progress or artist names to us, and it has no advertising or behavioral tracking. A parent or guardian can manage local data using the controls described below and contact us with privacy questions.
6. Support correspondence
If you email us, we receive your email address and any information or attachments you choose to send. We use this information to respond to your request and resolve support or privacy matters. Our email service provider processes correspondence to deliver and store messages. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information; children should ask a parent or guardian to contact us.
We do not sell personal information or use support correspondence for targeted advertising. We retain support messages only for as long as needed to handle the request and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. You can ask us to delete your correspondence by emailing the privacy contact above, subject to any legal retention requirements.
7. Retention, deletion, and security
Saved game data remains in the app's local storage until you change or remove it. The app uses the storage and security protections provided by your device. Protecting access to your device and backup account helps protect this information.
- Reset progress in Settings clears painting progress and quiz stars. It keeps your preferences and optional artist name.
- To remove the artist name, clear the Artist name field in Settings.
- To remove the app's local saved data and temporary files, clear the app's storage in Android settings or delete the app from your device. System backups may retain copies and may restore data after reinstallation; manage them through your device or backup provider.
- Exported images must be deleted separately from Photos, Files, or any service where you saved or shared them. Temporary sharing images may remain in the app cache until replaced or cleared by you or the operating system.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the app or our data practices change. We will update the date above and make the revised policy available in the app and on its published privacy-policy page. For questions or requests concerning information you send to us, contact LumeTech L.L.C. at contact@lumetechllc.com.
