To help us respond faster, please include:

Apple does not provide support for GameCatch. Support and maintenance for the app are provided by LumeTech at the address above.
2. Game recognition
GameCatch identifies games from a photo you take or an image you select. It first tries to recognize the game on your device and, where permitted, sends an optimized version of the image to a cloud AI service for a closer match. Recognition results may be inaccurate or incomplete.
A game was not recognized
- Frame the cover art or title screen so it fills most of the photo.
- Use even lighting and avoid glare, reflections, and heavy shadows.
- Hold the camera steady and let it focus before capturing.
- Try a different angle, the spine, or the title screen instead of the box.
- If recognition still fails, use manual search to find the game by title.
The result was wrong
Submit a clearer image, or use manual search to find the correct game and save that entry to your library. Regional editions, remasters, and collections can share very similar artwork.
“Cloud recognition unavailable” or nothing happens
- Check that your device has a working internet connection.
- Confirm that cloud AI processing is allowed in GameCatch’s privacy controls. With it turned off, only limited on-device recognition is available.
- Check Camera and Photos permissions in iOS Settings › GameCatch.
- Close and reopen the app, then try again.
3. Your game library
Your library holds the games you save, along with status (such as Want to Play, Playing, or Played), personal notes, ratings, and planned, started, or completed dates.
Guest vs. signed in
If you use GameCatch without signing in, your library is stored only on your device. If you sign in with Apple, supported library information is synchronized through our services so it can be restored and used across your devices.
My library is not syncing
- Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID on each device.
- Check your internet connection and reopen the app to let it sync.
- Give large libraries a moment to finish syncing after sign-in.
My library disappeared after reinstalling
Guest data is stored locally and is removed when the app is deleted or its data is cleared. Sign in with Apple so your library is synchronized and can be restored. Where an export option is available, keep your own copy of information that matters to you.
4. Reminders and notifications
GameCatch can send reminders and local notifications. Delivery is handled by your device and operating system.
- Enable notifications in iOS Settings › GameCatch › Notifications.
- Check that Focus modes or Do Not Disturb are not suppressing alerts.
- Keep the app updated so scheduled reminders continue to work.
Reminders are a convenience feature and should not be relied on for time-critical deadlines.
5. GameCatch Pro (subscriptions)
GameCatch Pro is an optional paid subscription offered as a Monthly or Yearly plan. Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store, and GameCatch does not receive or store your full payment-card information.
Restore a purchase
Use the Restore Purchases option in GameCatch while signed in with the Apple ID used to buy the subscription. Confirm you are using that same Apple ID, then close and reopen the app.
Manage or cancel
Manage or cancel GameCatch Pro in iOS Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions. Canceling stops the next renewal; you keep Pro access until the end of the paid period.
Deleting the app or your GameCatch account does not cancel your subscription. An active App Store subscription must be canceled separately through Apple.
Refunds
Purchases made through the App Store are billed by Apple, and refund requests are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Nothing here limits consumer rights that cannot be waived.
6. Accounts and sign in
You can use parts of GameCatch without an account. Signing in uses Sign in with Apple; GameCatch never receives your Apple password.
I cannot sign in
- Check your internet connection and that you are signed in to iOS.
- Review Apple ID settings in iOS Settings › [your name] › Sign in with Apple.
- Restart the app and try again.
Delete your account
You can delete your GameCatch account from within the app. When deletion is completed, active account information and synchronized library information are removed from our active systems, subject to limited backup retention and information we are required to keep. Deleting your account does not cancel a GameCatch Pro subscription.
7. Privacy and data
How GameCatch handles images, your library, accounts, and third-party AI processing is described in the GameCatch Privacy Policy.
- You can withdraw permission for cloud AI processing in GameCatch’s privacy controls at any time.
- To make a privacy request (access, correction, deletion, and similar), email contact@lumetechllc.com. We may need to verify your identity first.
