1. Acceptance of these terms
By downloading, accessing, or using WyoAngler, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app. WyoAngler is provided by LumeTech L.L.C. (“LumeTech,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
2. What WyoAngler provides
WyoAngler is a fishing companion for anglers exploring Wyoming's rivers, creeks, and lakes. It brings current water and local weather conditions together in one angler-focused view. Features may include:
- Nearby USGS monitoring-station search.
- Current water temperature and streamflow.
- Saved favorites for faster access to selected waters.
- Temperature-based Trout Window guidance.
- A Bite‑O‑Meter estimate using water temperature, barometric pressure trend, and wind.
- Local weather, wind, barometric pressure trends, and a seven-day forecast.
We may improve, modify, suspend, or discontinue features as the app and its data sources change.
3. Informational guidance only
WyoAngler does not promise fishing success, safe conditions, or the accuracy or completeness of any reading, forecast, estimate, or recommendation. The Trout Window and Bite‑O‑Meter are planning guidance, not scientific guarantees or professional safety advice.
Fish responsibly: WyoAngler recommends resting water when the displayed water temperature reaches 68°F or higher to help reduce stress on trout. This guidance does not replace your judgment, local rules, closures, or on-the-ground observations.
4. Data sources and availability
Water temperature and streamflow data are provided by USGS. Local weather, wind, barometric pressure trends, and seven-day forecasts are powered by NOAA data. Station coverage, availability, measurement methods, and update times vary. Data may be delayed, incomplete, unavailable, or changed by the source.
WyoAngler is an independent app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by USGS, NOAA, or any government agency. References to third-party names and data sources are for identification and attribution.
5. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for how you use WyoAngler and for your decisions outdoors.
- Verify current fishing regulations, licenses, closures, access rules, and private-property boundaries with the appropriate authorities.
- Check official weather alerts and actual field conditions before and during an outing; conditions can change quickly.
- Use safe, lawful, and responsible fishing and fish-handling practices.
- Do not misuse, interfere with, reverse engineer, or attempt unauthorized access to the app or its supporting systems, except where applicable law expressly permits it.
6. Advertising and third-party services
WyoAngler uses Google AdMob and the Google Mobile Ads SDK to display advertising. Ads and third-party destinations may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies. An advertisement does not mean LumeTech endorses the advertised product or service.
WyoAngler also depends on third-party data and services, including USGS and NOAA. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their availability, content, or practices. See the WyoAngler Privacy Policy for more information.
7. Ownership and limited license
WyoAngler's software, design, branding, and original content are owned by LumeTech or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Subject to these terms, LumeTech grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, lawful purposes. Third-party data remains subject to the rights and terms of its source.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WyoAngler is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular outing or purpose. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some exclusions may not apply to you.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LumeTech and its owners, personnel, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for losses arising from reliance on app data, forecasts, guidance, service interruptions, outdoor conditions, or third-party services. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
10. Changes and termination
We may update these terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. We may suspend or end access where reasonably necessary to protect the app, other users, or legal rights.
